Depression Alliance aims works to help people with depression and their families, through information on living with depression and on antidepressants to a penfriend scheme and local self help groups.
MIND provides information and advice for people with mental health problems (for instance on diagnosis and conditions, treatment, money and mental health, support and social care) as well as a telephone helpline and contact details for local MIND associations.

The Royal College of Psychiatrists provides information and leaflets on a wide range of topics, including Anorexia and Bulimia; Anxiety, Panic Attacks and Phobias; Bipolar Disorder; Depression; Personality Disorder; Post Traumatic Stress and Schizophrenia.
The Sainsbury Centre for Mental Health has a research and policy focus. It aims to find ways to help people with mental health problems overcome barriers, looking in particular at criminal justice, employment, recovery, children and workplace training.
Sane provides emotional support to people with mental health problems and their carers, through its helpline, e mail services and online Support Forum, as well as supporting neuroscience research.
